What goes into the cost of window-film installation?

A rate per square metre is a useful starting point, but an order needs a defined material, area and scope. For an apartment, office or large facade, start with a clear list of information about the windows.

Where to find prices and an initial estimate

DABURE’s current pricing and calculator are on the home page. Use them for an initial guide, then confirm whether the rate applies to the selected film and property. The calculator uses area and the selected condition for attic or ceiling glass; it does not define the included work.

A calculator result does not replace an agreed quotation. Mention an area at a pricing-band boundary, work at height or removal of an existing covering when you contact the installer.

Check the scope of the offer

Compare quotations for the same purpose. First decide whether you need solar control, privacy, frosted partitions or a safety system. Then request the film model and the work included: the word “tinting” alone is not enough for a comparison.

Prepare dimensions for the discussion

Record each pane’s width and height separately using consistent units. For rectangular glass, area in square metres is width in metres multiplied by height in metres. Use the glazing area rather than the whole wall or frame.

For example, two panes each 1 m wide and 1.5 m high total 3 m² of glass. This illustrates geometry, not a minimum order or installation price. Send photos of shaped panes, joints and difficult access so the installer can confirm measurements and calculation.

Why quotations may differ

Check whether you are comparing the same models and conditions. Discuss light transmission, reflectance and material purpose alongside glass compatibility. Explain how much the outside view and evening privacy matter to you.

Ask for preparation, installation, treatment of the old covering and aftercare to be listed. Discuss warranty terms for the chosen material and the process for questions after installation. An itemised description makes the difference in totals easier to understand.

What to send for an estimate

  • The Tbilisi location and the purpose of each room.
  • An overall window view and photos of individual panes.
  • Approximate dimensions, pane count and any glazing information you have.
  • Existing film and access conditions, including high and exterior windows.
  • Your preferences for daylight, colour and privacy, and the desired work schedule.

Agree the details before ordering

Request a final quotation that names the film, calculation area, price, included work and any separate items. Confirm measurement arrangements, payment, scheduling and warranty documents. These conditions should be agreed for your property.

Keep the agreed quotation and care instructions. After installation, you will know which material was fitted and who to contact about the surface or cleaning.
